Helvetica the movie questions

Helvetica is originated from Munchenstein, switzerland. In english Helvetica means Swiss, created in 1957 by Max Miedinger with the help of Eduard Hoffmann. The swiss design style is what brought Helvetica to such immense popularity worldwide. Three qualities seen in Helvetica are; Big, Tight space, and simple. In the film many different typefaces are discussed including, modernism, grunge, and post modernism. Matthew Carter designed these screen fonts, ITC Galliard, Bell Centennial, Verdana, Walker, and Big Caslon. Arial is considered a clone version of Helvetica. David Carson is not considered a trained designer, Carson does not follow the same rules as trained designers. Carson designs the magazine called Ray Gun. some companies today that contain helvetica include; The North Face, JEEP, Target, Skype, American Apparel.

The most common font i use day to day is Times new Roman, 1 because in essays it's easy to read, and 2 it is a requirement for MLA formatting in most school typed projects and or essays.
